spiritual awakening and enlightenment in today’s world

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

What is wanted is not the will to believe, but the will to find out, which is the exact opposite.

Belief vs. Trust (again!)

June 2nd, 2006 Posted in Mind, Quick Thoughts, Spirituality

Beliefs are how the ego insulates itself against the potentially threatening activity of the Spirit: they give it a handle to allow it to believe it is open to God.

Trust is how the heart truly opens the soul to the Spirit. It’s not about belief. At all.

    Agreed. Big Trust.
Ryan Sharp (Pressing on in the Dark) recently had a post on belief, too. Good read.

and with all the trust and belief, we all still strive to label ourselves under certain beliefs to make us feel we are living a fulfilling life. I have no label for myself, I believe, but will not label myself. I will find true peace, yet not call it one thing under one certain belief.. if the world would work this way.
